What Bump and Bloom families are saying...

I had the pleasure of having Kaitlyn as my doula for the birth of my second child. She reached out about her services and we met for a prenatal visit to learn more about having a doula there for the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods since I did not have a doula for my first child. Kaitlyn is such a knowledgeable individual and is so passionate about providing both emotional and physical support to achieve the desired labor and delivery. Right away both my husband and I were comfortable with her and knew having her as a part of our birthing team would be a great idea. I am so grateful for Kaitlyn and all she did to help me prepare for the birth center delivery I wanted to have. She was wonderful every step of the way and was so supportive to not only me, but to my husband as well. Thank you so much Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn transformed my pregnancy journey! Both my partner and I were able to fully embrace and understand the journey leading up to labor and delivery. The coping tools and techniques provided by Kaitlyn were a game changer during the most painful parts of labor. She offered invaluable support at the hospital the entire time during labor and delivery, ensuring our needs were met. We look forward to having Kaitlyn as our doula in the future!

As a husband, Kaitlyn's doula services significantly improved our birth experience. Even though we were well prepared, seeing my wife go through labor was still hard and overwhelming. Despite the challenges of labor, she skillfully guided us, providing tasks that kept me engaged and present. Her support ensured every moment felt beautiful and intimate. I highly recommend her to anyone, whether considering a doula or not.

Working with Kaitlyn was such a joy and calming experience! She was great at supporting me and my husband's decisions and helping us feel heard while helping us understand options and ideas for the labor! Unfortunately, I had to go straight into a c-section after 8 hours of being induced. However, Kaitlyn had worked with me prior on expectations and staying calm when things don't go as we expect. I was able to practice breathing techniques when being taken to surgery and during the process. Kaitlyn helped me write up a birth plan and the doctors did their best to follow it even with the c-section. I still had delayed cord clamping and skin to skin right after the birth, which were both very important to me. Kaitlyn stayed at the hospital to see me after the c-section and was able to speak with me about my experience which was extremely comforting during such an unexpected turn of events. Her follow up after the birth was encouraging and she was able to answer so many questions for me regarding breastfeeding and postpartum! We loved working with Kaitlyn!

Choosing Kaitlyn to be my Doula was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy! As a first time mom, I had a lot of questions and concerns leading up to my daughters birth. Kaitlyn's calm demeanor and support helped me control my anxiety through the last few weeks of pregnancy and all the way through my postpartum stage. Highly recommend!!

Kaitlyn was able to make my birth experience everything I wanted it to be. She made the atmosphere calm and relaxing. She had great suggestions for positions during the different stages of labor. Her calm nature and joyful spirit helped make it a great birth experience.

Kaitlyn was my savior—I honestly don't know what I would've done without her. But before I dive into her pivotal role during the birth, let me tell you what makes her so special. From the moment I met Kaitlyn, she was incredibly sweet and open, patiently answering all my questions. Despite her limited experience, her knowledge and honesty won me over completely. I was initially hesitant, but her genuine care and understanding convinced me she was the perfect doula for me. This was my first time working with a doula, and it was particularly meaningful as it was a surrogate pregnancy. Kaitlyn was not just attentive but meticulously prepared for every step. We met multiple times to discuss everything—from pain management techniques to hospital policies. She even suggested fun activities to lighten the mood during labor, like dancing to Bad Bunny! With my pregnancy considered high-risk due to IVF, doctors insisted on an early induction, but Kaitlyn stood by me in advocating for a natural birth. She researched extensively and consulted with other midwives to support my decision. Despite my plans, I ended up going past 40 weeks, reluctantly scheduling an induction. When labor unexpectedly began, Kaitlyn's support was immediate and unwavering. She guided me through each intense contraction with patience and reassurance. Despite the pain and my wavering resolve, she reminded me of my birth plan and encouraged me through to delivery. Throughout the chaotic labor, Kaitlyn was my rock, offering comfort, advice, and capturing precious moments with the baby. She stayed with me through a complication with the placenta, ensuring I felt supported both physically and emotionally. Kaitlyn's dedication and warmth turned what could have been a daunting experience into something beautiful and meaningful. I am forever grateful to her, not just as my doula but as a cherished friend who made an unforgettable impact on our journey together.

I wasn't able to be there for the birth—it all happened so quickly. I had just started getting our kids settled with childcare when I received the call that she had just arrived at the hospital. Less than an hour later, the baby was born, and I missed it. It was a whirlwind of emotions, but through it all, I'm eternally grateful to Kaitlyn. She stepped in as more than just a doula; she became the unwavering support my wife needed during labor. When I finally arrived at the hospital, my mind was racing. Kaitlyn was there, calm and composed, reassuring me that everything was alright. She explained what had happened, how quickly things had progressed, and stayed by my side as we awaited news from the operating room. Her presence was a lifeline during those tense moments, comforting not just my wife but also helping me navigate the rush of feelings I couldn't quite put into words. After the birth, when my wife had to undergo an emergency procedure in the operating room, Kaitlyn stayed with the baby and kept me updated. Her kindness and expertise made a world of difference. She made sure I knew that my wife was in good hands, and her reassurance helped ease the anxiety that gripped me until I was reunited with my wife. Kaitlyn's dedication and compassion made an indelible mark on our experience. She wasn't just there for the birth; she was our pillar of strength when we needed it most. We'll forever cherish her role in welcoming our baby into the world and supporting us through the unexpected turns of that day.

I reached out to Kaitlyn for a consultation before we even announced our pregnancy. I had 2 previous births but this was our 1st experience with a doula. I wanted a peaceful and calm birth with our surprise baby #3. Kaitlyn is so knowledgeable and confident but also so sweet and caring. She checked in with me throughout the pregnancy and offered tips to help with all my complaints like morning sickness and aches and pains. I loved our prenatal meetings where she had my husband and I practice different labor positions and breathing, discuss goals, and talked about different comfort measures. Those were so helpful! When I went into labor, she was ready and waiting for us. She came prepared and jumped right in. She has a natural comforting presence and was able to suggest different positions and measures without being pushy or interrupting the natural flow of things. She was a blessing to my husband as well. She gave him different suggestions to support me during contractions. Toward the end when things were really intense, I have the most beautiful memories of my husband holding my hands and encouraging me bc she was doing all the hard behind-the scenes things like counter pressure and well timed reminders about controlling my breathing or relaxing my body. Because of her support, I was able to have a beautiful, peaceful water birth. I cannot imagine doing it without her and would without a doubt choose her again.

After interviewing several doulas, we hired Kaitlyn because her personality was the best match for us. Before even interviewing her, Kaitlyn's professionalism shined through her client reviews and website. That professionalism continued through each meeting and during our birth experience as well. Kaitlyn was straightforward with us about the fact that she had never had a VBAC client, but went out of her way to research best practices and call upon her network of doulas and providers from Delaware when needed.
During labor, Kaitlyn modeled calm encouragement for my husband, timed contractions so that we were not stressed out, and asked questions of the hospital staff when they failed to adequately explain things. Kaitlyn respected our wishes to show up at the hospital ready to push and because of her extensive birth experience, was able to tell us when we needed to leave our house for the hospital. I may have been Kaitlyn's first successful VBAC client, but I will not be the last. She was worth every penny we paid her and we highly recommend her to any expecting parents.

If you've ever wondered if you should get a doula, this is your sign to do it! Immediately after our first meeting with Kaitlyn we knew she was the doula for us! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable, she provided so much knowledge, and she was a huge source of happiness! We truly believe our birth experience was elevated due to Kaitlyn and her doula services. She made birth so special for us, she provided a calm and beautiful environment to welcome our sweet little one in! Not only was she easy to work with but she was also super kind and relatable!
When choosing a doula you are choosing someone you trust to help you through one of life's greatest miracles, and Kaitlyn was that person for us. She was there for us at any time of the day and she offered so much extra help over the phone. I felt like having her by our side elevated our birthing experience. Kaitlyn helped us welcome our biggest blessing and for that I am forever thankful! You can tell Kaitlyn puts her all into her work and that meant so much to us. Working with Kaitlyn was such a joy! I would recommend Kaitlyn and her services to anyone and I hope we are able to work together again during our next birth!

Kaitlyn Martinez is such an amazing doula! If you are looking for one, highly consider her!
Meeting her for the first time felt like seeing a friend that I haven't seen in so long. She has a very kind and calming presence. My husband and I hired her for the birth of our first and second son! We selected the basic contract to meet a couple times before birth, during the birth, and one time after. Being on tricare prime for both births, I wanted to take advantage of the benefits the military provides medically, so I wanted to have my babies in the hospital. However, I still wanted to have a natural birth. Hiring Kaitlyn was the best decision I ever made. She knew what I needed when it was hard for others to read me. She has great holistic techniques to make the end of pregnancy and labor as comfortable as possible. Labor with my first son was long and tiring, but Kaitlyn was there for me the entire time. This was mid December and she played Christmas music for me, and was so encouraging when I just wanted to give in. The nurses and doctors kept asking me if I wanted pitocin, but Kaitlyn reminded me that it really wasn't what I wanted, instead she told me how strong I was and how close I was to meeting my baby. She also stepped in when the doctor tried to cut my cord too early. Thanks to her, all of my expectations were met in order for me to have a comfortable and non medicated birth. For my second son, I was reaching 40 weeks and just wanted this baby out. She was so helpful for some acupressure, she even showed my husband so he could help. When we arrived to the hospital, the nurses did not admit me as soon as they should have. Kaitlyn stayed by my side and we both knew that this next boy was coming sooner than the nurses expected. She helped me get his head engaged with the flying cowgirl position, and after that things progressed so quickly that I gave birth standing up minutes after I walked into the delivery room. Through all of my painful contractions, she squeezed my hips and reminded me to breath and told me I was doing so well. My husband was also grateful to have her as he learned so much on how to help me when I needed to get through a contraction. He also felt more comfortable having her around, with her knowledge and experience with natural births.
After each birth, I wanted her to stay with me until the nurses and doctors left the room. Having her there was comforting because she was a familiar face when I was just surrounded by others from the hospital who I didn't really know. However you want to have your baby, Kaitlyn is there for you. She will guide you every step of the way with so much love. I also loved having a sister in Christ with me through this journey, because giving birth is such a spiritual experience needing to be one with the body God gave me.

Kaitlyn Martinez was our doula, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. As a fellow military spouse, she understands the unique challenges that can come with this season of life, and she brought such a steady, knowledgeable, and compassionate, presence to our journey into parenthood. She is incredibly well-versed in all things pregnancy, labor and delivery, and newborn care. Her birth classes were so helpful, and we especially loved that she came to our home for both prenatal visits and classes. It made everything feel more comfortable and personal, and since I planned to labor at home, it was invaluable to practice positions in our own space with our own setup. Kaitlyn was always prompt, kind, and available—just a phone call or text away whenever we had questions. When labor began, she supported us at home and then continued with us at the hospital. She stayed by our side through every high and low, advocating for us in a way that made us feel truly seen and heard. She knew our birth plan inside and out and helped ensure our wishes were respected, even when unexpected circumstances arose. During the more difficult moments, her calm presence grounded me, and the way she incorporated prayer and encouragement meant so much to us. It brought a level of peace and strength that I will always be grateful for. Her care didn't stop after delivery. In our postpartum visits, she went above and beyond to support us however we needed. After a somewhat traumatic birth experience, she continued to check in, helping us process everything in our own time and making sure we never felt alone. Even beyond our contract, she has remained a constant support. We've built a friendship, and I still reach out with questions as we navigate life with a newborn. Throughout pregnancy and postpartum, she connected us with amazing local resources-from chiropractic care that truly helped when I was in pain, to lactation support when our daughter struggled with latch issues, and guidance when we discovered lip and tongue ties.
When our birth photographer unexpectedly canceled just days before my due date, Kaitlyn immediately stepped in and helped us find a replacement. The photographer she connected us with was absolutely amazing, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Kaitlyn is simply an incredible person and an amazing doula. I am so thankful we chose her to support us through the birth of our first baby. I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone considering a hospital, birth center, or home birth-you will be in the best hands.

Just delivered our second child at FMH and OMG what a difference! We did not use a doula for our first and that was a train wreck! This time we hired Kaitlyn and she was so attentive and knew just what to do and how to instruct my husband on what to do to help relieve pain. And she asked the doctor and nurses some really good questions I would have never thought of. If we have any more kids I will 100% be hiring her again!

From the very first phone call Kaitlyn was kind, calm, understanding and most of all very encouraging. I knew minimal things about labor and was trying for a VBAC. Kaitlyn encouraged me that it was not only possible but that it could be a beautiful experience. My husband and I ended up taking birth classes with Kaitlyn and it completely changed everything. We learned so much about labor and the process as well as the different position we could do to find comfort in labor. Kaitlyn also shared several different tools we could use to help get through the contractions like oils, massage points, birth comb ect. She showed my husband how to do certain positions and the right places to massage to help me in labor. Kaitlyn goes above and beyond to fully educate you on all your labor options and each step of labor. She discusses the different options you have for labor and helps you create a birth plan as well. This was super helpful because we got to discuss all the different options like pain management, room ambiance, cord clamping, ect. Kaitlyn followed up after her classes to check on me for the rest of my pregnancy and even talked to me during my induction to help calm my nerves. She also takes the time to check in after your birth experience to see how it all went.
Not only did Kaitlyn help me achieve my
VBAC and a great birth experience; she equipped my husband with the tools to feel confident in helping me through labor. She was the best addition to our pregnancy and labor journey.
You cannot go wrong with trusting Kaitlyn to be apart of your pregnancy and labor team.
